(The following based on the green spined 2005 edition)
Amend the final two paragraphs of the first column of page Pg 45, and the beginning of teh first full para in teh second column to read:
"Cross the stile and turn right along an earth road, with the wood on your right hand side. Follow the edge of wood as it turns left just after the end of the manure heap and then right to come, in 15 metres to a wooden post.
Here, fork left on a car-wide strip between fields, towards the nearest corner of the wood on teh other side, your direction 130 degrees. When you reach the wood, go right along the edge of the field with the wood on your left hand side, your direction 215 degrees.
In 470 metres, you stay on your way upwards to pass into teh wood on a car-wide track between wooden gateposts., your dirction due South. ..." [NB - the wooden barrier mentioned in teh instructions was no longer there in February 2007]
Amend final para of 1st column on pg 46 and fist para of 2nd column on that page to read:
"In a further 250 metres, at a footpath crossing, go through the metal gate and footpath to your right and cross the field, your direction 250 degrees, your path parallel to the A404 away on your left hand side.
In 250 metres exit the filed by another metal gate and continue on past Finches Lodge ..."
[This change reflects the fact that the stile shave been replaced by gates, and what must have been two fields when the instructions were written is now one.]
The instructions at the bottom of page 48 that lead you into old Amersham are very confusing and need to be clarified. If all else fails, take a bearing on the Church as you come down the hill into Amersham and head in that direction until you reach it, or head for Tescos (big red tiled pitched roofs with a small clock tower to the rightof the church) and turn left along the road that runs in front of it, which is the main road into Old Amersham. You'll find Carringtons tea shop and deli onteh left hand side shortly before you reach the old market hall.

Just a pointer for all those walkers and ramblers. Carringtons has been bought by a local independant familly and is now called Seasons Cafe Deli. Still offering a great selection of foods and takeaways.
The main road crossing just before Amersham is a bit awkward. In the revised version of the walk instructions (see link at top of the page) there is an easy alternative route for this, which crosses the same road on a footbridge.

The Cafe you mention is under new ownership and is called Seasons Cafe Deli.
