red The suggested tea place, Nell Gwynn's Parlour, is now closed on Friday. The Incognito Restaurant has changed its name to The Old Ticket Hall Restaurant and is open late every day except Monday when it is closed.
blue 140 lunch The Savill Gardens Restaurant, though they are open all day, stop serving lunches at 2pm.
green Apr-03 140 col 1 Tea. Nell Gwynn's Parlour in Church Street, Windsor has become an internet cafe, so is no longer suitable for tea. La Locanda next door in Church Street serves teas and has much space upstairs. It is open 11 am to 10 pm or 11 pm, tel 01753-830877. There are many other possible tea shops in Windsor also, mainly in the High Street on the left approaching the stations. There is also the Drury House restaurant in Church Street.
green May-03 140 col 2, para 2 [1]. the train from London arrived at platform 2.
green May-03 140 col 2, para 2 At the other side of the crossing there was no footpath sign. There was a building site to the right of the footpath.
green May-03 140 col 2, para 3 The playground and tennis court are shortly on the left hand side.
green May-03 140 col 2, para 6 The church was called Holy Trinity Sunningdale church.
green May-03 140 col 2, para 7 The byway sign was at Sunningdale Bowling Club. Then in 165 metres the green metal gates of Callaly House are on the left, and in a further 230 metres take the signposted footpath to the right. (Tittenhurst Park is not visible)

green May-03 142 col 1, para 5 There is no longer a Frost Farm Plantation sign.
green May-03 142 col 1, last para Pass a "no paddling or bathing sign" on a tall pole.In 200 metres turn right to cross the large five-arch bridge. 5 metres beyond the bridge the faint path is through the trees.
green May-03 142 col 2, para 3 The bear slightly left 30 degrees direction is redundant. At Lakeside Cottage you veer left with the tarmac path. Then in 20 metres fork right 40 degrees over the grass.
green May-03 143 col 1, para 3 A few metres before the right turn downhill at 175 degrees, ignore a similar turn at 120 degrees.
green May-03 143 col 2, para 5 The first 12 log steps have disappeared, so go up 9 log steps, cross a path and continue up 13 more steps.
blue 144 col 2, para 4 The 'large greenhouse' is a distant, double storey greenhouse, not the earlier single storey greenhouse just over the hedge to your left.
blue 144 col 2, para 5 Carry on round the pond implies a right turn when you reach the far side of the pond, ignoring the way to the left. You then ignore a left half way down this far side of the pond to continue along its edge. After this there are three tiny footbridges across the water-filled channel on your left. You ignore the first two which are tree trunks with water-channels cut through the middle, to take the third, which has little steps. Your onward path veers to the left to avoid a marsh, and then to the right.
green May-03 144 col 1, para 3 The bridge's white wooden railings were not visible at this point.
green May-03 144 col 1, para 5 You go left 285 degrees. Then in 188 metres with car wide paths to both left and right and with fingerpost signs in the distance ahead, turn right (the sign for Valley Gardens car park had been moved to a different location).
green 144 col 1, para 5 If the directions at this point fail to show up, then watch out for the Obelisk and go to it by any available path. Alternatively, a map and compass could be useful at this point. Failing both of those, it is possible to reach the lunch stop, but miss out part of the route, by following signs to Saville restaurant and gardens.
green May-03 144 col 2, para 4 The sign said "no cycling".
green May-03 144 col 2, para 5 The 1880 gates had gone.
green May-03 145 col 1, para 2 The car-wide horse ride was covered with sand.
green May-03 145 col 1, para 3 In 290 metres go left - this path seemed faint and faded out. The pink gatehouses only became visible later on.
green May-03 145 col 2, para 6 [8]. the notice was about fishing and also dogs.
green May-03 146 col 1, last para The Court Jester seemed to have become Highlands.
