When the work is nearing completion, the re-opening date should be announced at http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.14714. The posts on the way to and on the golf course appear not to be numbered, they are fairly new with a green stripe on them. Also the recommended tea place at the end of the walk in Eynesford is now a Thai restaurant, though there are two pubs in the village and a old fashioned village shop that sells sweets out of jars. Posted by Simon : Sunday, 20 April, 2008 A pleasant short walk but people following the directions in even the latest (2005) edition of Volume 1 of the walks may find themselves wandering astray, especially on the golf course, with balls whizzing about: as someone else has pointed out, the numbered posts are no longer numbered or have faded illegibly. Thankfully the visitors' centre, which is the next direction point, isn't far: ask a golfer.

Walk was lovely for a shorter walk in January. The posts on the way to and on the golf course appear not to be numbered, they are fairly new with a green stripe on them.
