A walker writes 31/3/08:
I recently did the Chilham/Canterbury walk solo and spotted a few inaccuracies in the green book (2003) as follows: Page 217, col 1, para 3: The distance is not 500 metres, more like 50 metres. Page 218, col 1, para 6: These directions seems to repeat in more detail the words in brackets in the previous paragraph. 219/1/3: the post is now not just well hidden but horizontal. There is an unmarked knee high concrete post at the same turning. Page 219, col 3 para 9: I didn’t see a post with yellow arrow. It might be helpful to note that the ditch which you cross is the stream mentioned in previous para. 219/4/2: I didn’t see a wooden barrier. 220/1/4: The fence is on the right not the left. 221/3/3: The hedge is also on the right not the left! 221/3/5: I couldn’t follow this direction at all. The only left turning had a different name and house numbers. |

| green | Jun-03 | 218 | col 2, para 8 | Before taking the stile on the left in 310 metres, you might wish to take a detour by continuing on a few metres to visit "No mans orchard" as signposted earlier on your route. This is an ancient apple orchard with blackberry bushes growing up the apple trees set in a meadow of many butterflies. Then retrace your route back to the stile. | |
| blue | Jul-02 | 220 | col 1, top | Referring to the little path which runs beside the stream for some considerable distance. A good deal of this pathway is really think with brambles and stinging nettles. A stick to clear a path through these could be useful. |
