I just did this walk on May 29, 2008.
A few minor changes:

P. 29 Col. 2; 2nd para.: “Veer slightly right, to the right of a corrugated metal wood and cinder block barn…

P. 30 col 2, All stiles mentioned ate now wooden gates, except for the brick and wooden stiles after the churchyard.
P. 31 col 1, para. 1 and 2: all stiles have been replaced by wooden gates.

All walks are illustrated on my web site:

- (page 29) Instead of "veer slightly right, to the right of a corrugated metal barn......turn left for 30 metres to reach a car-wide earthen track", should be: "veer slightly right around the cluster of barns, heading towards a tarmac drive in front of you (road still visible to the right). When you reach the tarmac drive, turn left and you will see a wide wooden gate. Go through the gate to reach a car-wide earthen track."

- (page 28) - see change in bold: "Keep straight on across the field, ignoring a stile uphill to your left, your direction 260 degrees. In 70 metres cross over a stile and continue on walking between the cottage on your left and the farm building on your right. You will emerge onto a tarmac driveway at the end of which is a metal gate and a wooden stile to the left of the gate. You should also see directly in front of you a thatched cottage. Go through the gate (if not open, over the wooden stile) so that you are on the car-wide earthen track and turn left. After 50 metres, you pass Ash Wain cottage....."

- (page 31) See change in bold: "In 180 metres the inclines becomes less steep and, after a further 80 metres you will see a wooden post with a yellow arrow pointing right, and a yellow arrow pointing straight ahead. Continue straight ahead for another 10 metres until you reach a footpath junction (sign posted with a wooden post with yellow arrows) where you turn right.".

If you're in a hurry for the train, time can be saved at p31 para 3 "after 150 mtrs turn left at a T junction" instead turn right along the quiet lane until you reach Haws Lane. Turn left up Haws lane until you pick up the footpath crossing at p 31 para 5 and turn right along it.(Haws Lane has fast traffic so you may prefer to follow a well-trodden path, parallel to the road, on the inside of the hedge) In effect this cuts out the perambulation of the large field at the bottom of the ridge
