[Aug04][July06] P68, first column, first line: the bus now only runs on Thursdays and Saturdays
[Aug04][Jul06] Page 68, second column, fourth para: para starting: “Keep straight on through scattered trees”. The pig farm mentioned here is gone, or is seasonal: it is now an open field. [Aug04][Jul06] p68, second column, penultimate paragraph, third sentence: there is a new wooden fence, as follows: “Beyond the stile, follow the footpath as it veers left across an open field, between wooden fences....” [Aug04][Jul06] p71, top of column two: after “go straight on up a path, following the white arrow on a tree, your direction 190 degrees.” Other white arrows also guide you onwards through the wood. The squeezegate mentioned four lines on has now disappeared. [Aug04][Jul06] p72, column one, second paragraph, fourth line: the stile into the woods has disappeared. There is a gap in the tree boundary in the specified place, and a tiny stump of the former stile: essentially you just have to enter the wood at this point and make your way across it to its apex, which is concealed among the trees [Aug04][Jul06] p73, second column, penultimate sentence: sentence starting “In 260 metres, cross a larger path...”: DELETE “(signposted as path 11 to the left)” and replace with “marked by yellow and white crosses on trees.” In general, the numbering on the paths in this wood seems to have disappeared: in January 07, I could not find the path 27 and path 25 markings mentioned in the first para of the first column on page 74, for example: but the arrows on the trees remain visible, and the paths are as described. [Aug04][Jul06]: p73: Lunch and Tea places: Crispins is apparently now (Aug 06) closed and being turned into a wine bar You can also post your own updates by using the COMMENT feature on this page |
