The dates in square brackets refer to editions of the book to which the changes apply. [Aug04] is the original edition, published by Penguin and with a green cover. [Jul06] is the Ebury Press edition, with a thorn tree on the cover

[Aug04][Jul06] p140, Transport: trains to Gomshall are every two hours even during the week. It might be worth noting that it is often just as quick to take the train from Gomshall in the opposite direction to Redhill, from where frequent trains go to Victoria.

[Aug04][Jul06] p144, col two, second para of main text, the pink cows head symbol mentione here, and in the following paragraphs, is now purple!

March 07: a walker reports: "The Drummond Arms in Albury is a short detour off the walk as a lunch stop. We found it very good. When you come to the Tarmac lane top of page 145 turn right and follow the lane. When the lane ends continue on main road in same direction, it curves to the left and about 200 yds later the pub is on the left....... Note that the fence mentioned 80 metres after St Martha on the Hill, does not exist ........Blubeckers in Gomshall is now open in the afternoons for tea and desserts."
