2) Upload your photos, and remember to make them 'public'. (You can download a Flickr 'upload' program to help)

There is a 4-for-the-price-of-2 train ticket promotion on (not valid with Network Cards).
With a Network Card you can get a 1 day travelcard covering ALL London Transport zones (1-6, plus A-D on the Metropolitan Line) for £4.80 at weekends and after 9:30 on weekdays. It is available from tube ticket offices (not ticket machines). If used to get a reduction from the boundary of the outer LT Zone (6 or D as appropriate) to the start of the walk, this could save several pounds on train fares.
The NAF, which setup the walking group is no longer involved in running it, though they still sponsor this website and recieve royalties from the walking book. The club now has to run itself!
The NAF would like to thank to all those involved in producing book 2, particularly Peter, David and Sylvia, and all the other walk researchers and checkers who have put in a simply massive amount of work.

The NAF would like to thank Windhover for the tremendous amount he has done, both in updating this website, and also doing the weekly e-mail for about a year.
The ticket queues at mainline Train Stations are long and therefore slow. It is necessary to arrive earlier to use these to buy tickets at present. Alternatives are to use the ticket machines or buy an advance ticket on an earlier day.
If you have a travelcard, you can use it to go through the electronic barriers, and then try and buy a ticket from the guard. However, you risk a £10 penalty charge if you do this.
If you have (say) a Zone 1-4 Travelcard, ask for a return from the "Zone 4 boundary" to ...
If travelling on a weekday (when railcards can't be used until 10am), or from a tube station, it might be worth buying a 1 day railcard, then a ticket from the Zone 6 boundary to ...
During the winter of 2000/01 and again in Jan 03 many rivers were at risk of flooding, and some burst their banks and blocked the walk routes there, for example, book 1 walks 1 and 13. Similar flooding may recur in winters to come.
