Nicholas Albery
Nicholas Albery, the author of the Time Out Book of Country Walks Volume 1, and founder of the Saturdaye Walking Club, died in a car accident on 3rd June 2001.
He is greatly missed by us all, and his enthusiasm, dedication and unfailing commitment to everything he did in his life continue to inspire.

The Nicholas Albery Foundation
Nicholas set up the Institute of Social Inventions. After his death, it became the Nicholas Albery Foundation (NAF).
The NAF, together with Time Out, publish the 2 Time Out walking books, with NAF receive a share of the royalties.
The NAF has gone through a rocky patch recently, and no longer organise the walking club. It now concentrates on the
Natural Death Centre.

Global Ideas Bank
This is the NAF's biggest website and their largest online project. A Global Suggestion
Box for socially innovative non-technological ideas and projects, with
awards annually for the best ideas or projects submitted.

Natural Death Centre
The Natural Death Centre aims to support those dying at home and their carers and to help them
arrange funerals. It has as a more general aim that of helping improve 'the quality of dying'.
