The Highest Hills in Southeast England[an error occurred while processing this directive]The source of this data is the Database of British Hills
MarilynsThe Marilyn's are a list of the relatively highest hills (i.e. hills with a big drop on all sides compared to thesurrounding land, not their absolute height). A walker describes their ascent here. For more on the Marilyn's, see : The Relative Hills of Britain by Alan Dawson. Several of the above hills have no (club) walks going near their summits, so inspiration for new walks? Some very obvious viewpoints are missed, for example Beachy Head (because its in the same "hill" as Wilmington Hill, which is higher). Last Update: Sep-08 by Andrew |
