Long Distance Paths
There are many national long distance trails, and many local long distance trails as well, that is, trails marked by chevrons on Ordnance Survey maps.
Below are a selection, each has its route highlighted on an OS map, and a downloadable GPX (GPS route) file.
Many have public transport information for day walkers in order to travel to the start and finish of the walk, or back to your car.
