4 off the train and the all-male group (all of them SE Londoners) were blessed with a warm and dry evening with plenty of refracted light off the light cloud cover providing enough brightness so that headtorches were hardly ever used.
I hadn't walked this route in 'darkness' during the recce phase, so wasn't quite sure, but it was quite a good outing, with some views and firm ground everywhere, and hardly any other people apart from some youth smoking dope on a park bench.
It took about an hour to get around and, once in Morden, we eventually settled on a not too promising looking Italian restaurant. But it was very nice!
3 of the 4 then had a further snifter at a Harvey's of Lewes pub near Borough tube.
A fine evening out.
