Lily of the valley

Little pearls, droplets

Little bells ringing

Cream and white

Delicate and light

 

Mauve violet bluebells

Spread over the forest floor

Liquid blue liquor

For drinking with the eyes

Colouring dyes before they die

 

Green velvet meadows

Yellow gaudy fields

Awkward knobbly oaks

A black and brown horse

Shy you cannot force

 

The fields are free 

And today

I am like the wire.
