Features

Follow a very quiet canal through Surrey and Hampshire, from Byfleet to Basingstoke

From Byfleet and New Haw station, turn right (north) until you meet the canal, then follow it south. Cross the bridge for the Basingstoke branch, and follow it!

Our GPS ends at Brookwood, but you can follow it all the way to Basingstoke

At the east end of the route, you can connect to the Thames via the Wey Navigation, and on to London via the Thames Path

"Please be aware that cycling is supported only in the case of sensible use with minimal speed and the requirement to give way to walkers, especially under and before bridges, using common sense, both activities should and can be enjoyed. If cyclists wish to go fast, they must use the road highway system. The current condition of the towpath is reasonably good in all areas but not adequate for cyclists who ride without due regard to other users" - so please, please, be polite to pedestrians, and don't spoil it for other cyclists!
