10 Day Forecast for Cannon Street

Page loading ...

Bitterly cold tonight. Mostly dry, although a few snow showers..

This Evening and Tonight:

Some light snow showers at first near the Thames Estuary, and at times across the south. Elsewhere, dry with some clear spells developing and a widespread frost giving icy conditions on untreated surfaces. Brisk easterly winds continuing. Minimum Temperature -3C.

Morning cloud with the odd snow flurry along the south coast. Otherwise, dry with sunny spells, and a slow thaw of lying snow. Still cold with a brisk northeasterly wind. Maximum Temperature 4C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday, isolated wintry showers, less cold with continued thaw of lying snow. Wednesday, mostly dry, bright, lighter winds. Early frost. Thursday, cloudier at times with some rain likely, milder, breezier.

Day 6 to 15

The end of the week is likely to be unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain, interspersed by periods of drier, brighter, and sunnier weather. It will often be windy with a coastal gales, at times, and a low risk of severe gales on Friday. Temperatures will be near to normal but locally rather cold, with a risk of overnight frosts. As we head into the final week of March the UK's weather is likely to stay changeable, but with slightly longer periods of drier and bright weather. There remains uncertainty for the Easter Weekend, but there is a signal that we could see weather patterns becoming slow-moving or stalled by cold air and high pressure in the northeast.

Day 16 to 30

There is significant uncertainty in the forecast throughout this period, but a blocked or slowly changing weather pattern is probable. There will most likely be a balance between Atlantic frontal systems affecting the south and west at times with colder air associated with high pressure out to the northeast. Mixed conditions are likely with wetter than average weather expected across the south, while staying drier and perhaps colder to the north. Further snow is possible, especially in the north. Windy conditions likely at times. Temperatures will likely be below average with further night frosts, and any milder interludes will probably be only brief. Towards mid-month, confidence becomes very low but some warmer days are expected.
