This was a very decent 9.5 mile walk on another lovely, early Spring day.

The walker leaves the station, built to serve Wellington college, and passes through some pleasant mixed woodland, heaths and pastures, including the National Trust's Finchampstead Ridges.

Lunch is taken at the delightful, 12th century, St.James' church, Finchamptead, though there is also a nice pub alternative. Thereafter, there's a section of walking along the Blackwater Valley Path, past former sand and gravel quarries that are being restored. This is the Moor Green Lakes Nature Reserve.

Sandhurst station is attained soon afterwards, so ending another excellent day's walking.

(A Shoveller Duck is believed to be one of those below the Cormorant perch and the large flock earlier is thought to be Wigeon).
