    A coastal walk of around 11 miles, done in reverse to the suggested instructions. Starting at New Milton, it's a short bus ride down to Barton; from there it's a relatively straightforward, flat walk to Mudeford Quay for the short ferry trip across the harbour. Then, it's on through Hengistbury Head nature reserve before tackling the throngs at the expanse that is Bournemouth Beach.
