Burghclere Circular Walk
Sandham Memorial Chapel (Stanley Spencer's WW1 wall paintings, NT), chalk streams, open fields, beech woodland, an old thatched barn, a huge avenue of trees, Watership Down views, and a charming disused railway walk hidden in the trees.
Ordnance Survey Map printer friendly
You can also print out OS Explorer mapping from the Ordnance Survey OS Maps website, which costs about £20 a year.
Only the maps get printed (not these instructions). 1 map per A4 page.
It's best to view this page on a desktop to check the route fits on the map "A4 pages" nicely. In the (desktop) print dialogue, you can "Print to PDF", then use the PDF on a Kindle or tablet.

Choose the map scale.
The higher the scale, the greater the detail, but the more pages to print.
The advanced option uses less paper, but is harder to print successfully. If you try it, check that the route at the end of each page continues on the next one without a gap.
In your browser's Print Preview dialogue, it may help to try:
- Margins : none/minimum
- Scaling : fit to page
Load the maps in groups of 10 "pages"
Wait for the map tiles to load.
Scroll down and check.
