Page loading ...

Windy, with blustery showers and sunny spells.

Today:

Overnight strong winds will ease away during the morning. However it will stay rather windy, with sunny spells and isolated blustery showers following. These showers could be heavy at times. It will also be feeling rather cool. Maximum Temperature 17C.

Tonight:

Showers will fade during the evening with winds becoming light. Clear spells will then develop, and it will turn rather chilly. However, some thickening cloud is then likely by dawn. Minimum Temperature 8C.

Saturday:

Cloudy, but mostly dry start, before outbreaks of light rain or drizzle becoming widespread by the afternoon. Rain turning heavy at times, and also turning breezy along the south coast. Maximum Temperature 14C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunday remains uncertain, with further wet and very windy weather possible. Monday and Tuesday then dry, with light winds, and long sunny spells. Also turning chilly overnight, with frost possible.

Day 6 to 15

For most of the UK it looks like the weather should remain largely settled through the rest of September. Most places will have long sunny periods and generally light winds. However, some mist and fog patches will form during the nights. The far north and northwest will most likely turn a little more changeable through next week with some rain and strong winds. Weakening bands of rain are expected to push southeastwards across the UK but they will become increasingly patchy as they go. Days will be warm for many, at least at first, but nights will be chilly with some localised frost. Into the start of October many parts are set to remain mostly settled, though some wet and windy weather is possible further north.

Day 16 to 30

Settled conditions are expected to dominate across much of the UK through the beginning of this period, especially in the south. There should be a good deal of dry and bright weather with any brief wet and windy spells likely to be confined to the north of the UK. Increasingly long nights nights will lead to a greater risk of patches of fog forming overnight and some places may also see some frost. Despite chilly nights, any sunshine by day will give a rather warm feel. Later on in this period there is considerable uncertainty in the forecast with a chance that some more unsettled weather may become established again.
