Amberley Circular walk
Out along the foot of the South Downs above Wild Brook wetland to Storrington for lunch, and back along the ridge of the Downs.

A delightful walk of 10.6 miles (per the instructions, though this walker thought it was more!) combining river walking and downland. On this particular day, the paths were very muddy and the meadows very boggy. The morning section is the flat one, walking beside The Arun and its meadows before lunch at the village of Cootham.
The afternoon walk includes a steady ascent of the Downs that is rewarded with potentially fine views (not today though!). Then it's around 4 miles along the ridge back to Amberley.
