Time Out Walks, Book 1, Walk 17, Bow Brickhill to Woburn Sands. 18/7/11.

A very pleasant walk of around 11.6 miles in Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. The morning section is mainly through delightful mixed woods, with some good examples of Redwoods, before lunch in the village of Woburn. Thereafter, it's on through the Safari Park, where large herds of deer will be seen, and, possibly, glimpses of Brown Bears, Bison and others, depending on the route taken.* On leaving the park, it's on to the village of Aspley Guise before finishing at Woburn Sands station. * At the time of writing, a diversion was in place that takes the walker away from the elephant enclosure along roads, though I did see a couple successfully emerge from the closed path. Due to reopen on 1/9/11 but it's been deferred previously...
