This was another very decent shorter walk of around 9 miles. This time at the foot of the Surrey Hills, in the Mole Valley.

Starting out from the station at Deepdene, the walker passes the Main station prior to a section of road walking. Arriving in more tranquil surroundings shortly afterwards, the hum of traffic is always present early on. Passing the golf club at Betchworth, there's a pleasant section of walking before arriving at the village of Brockham, with its restored water pump.

Lunch is had at St Michael's church, Betchworth (whose lychgate is seen in 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'). What follows is the quietest part of the walk, but, potentially, the wettest. No issues today though.

Passing through Skimmington, the walker eventually reaches a section of ridge walking in Reigate Park Hill. Passing the former Priory, it's on back to the station.

A good walk that gives the walker a different perspective of Box Hill for a change. Certain sections are heavily eroded by horses and others are suspect to flooding. Alternatives are given in the good instructions, should the latter occur.
