10 Day Forecast for Otford

Page loading ...

Dry, cold and largely sunny today.

Today:

Today will be cold and largely sunny as any initial patchy cloud quickly disperses. The brisk easterly wind, becoming strong along the coast, will produce a noticeable windchill everywhere. Maximum Temperature 6C.

Tonight:

A widespread sharp frost will occur, except for right on the coast where strong winds will continue, under predominantly clear skies. Minimum Temperature -4C.

Sunday:

Dry and largely sunny, but still temperatures will drop through the day and so it will feel increasingly bitterly cold, especially along the coast where a brisk wind will persist. Maximum Temperature 3C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Extremely cold with snow showers becoming more widespread and also heavier, especially Monday night onwards. Significant accumulations are likely to develop in places, most likely across eastern areas. Becoming windy.

Day 6 to 15

It will stay very cold as we head into March, with sunshine and snow showers. Showers are most likely across eastern and central parts of the UK where accumulations may mount up. Further west, large accumulations are still possible but much less likely. Winds will be light to moderate for most, but across southern Britain strong easterly winds, possibly gales around the coast, will make it feel bitterly cold. Night time frosts will be widespread and severe in places too. There is currently a possibility of more unsettled weather trying to push in from the southwest at times towards the first weekend in March and beyond. This could bring more significant snow and gales to southern parts of the UK but there is currently a lot of uncertainty with this.

Day 16 to 30

At the start of this period it will probably still be cold across the UK, with widespread frost and brisk easterly winds from Continental Europe, making it feel raw. This will continue to bring the risk of significant snow across some southern, eastern and central parts of the UK, whereas in the north and west it should be drier. As we head through the middle of March, there is a lot of uncertainty in the forecast, but it may start to turn more generally unsettled and less cold with wetter and milder weather spreading in from the southwest. In contrast, northern and eastern areas could remain cold well into March.
