Sunny spells. Very warm, locally hot inland. Scattered thunderstorms.

Today:

Mist and low cloud will clear back to coasts during the morning. Inland areas will enjoy very warm, locally hot, occasionally sunny weather. Scattered heavy thunderstorms are expected to develop. Feeling cooler along coasts with an onshore easterly breeze. Maximum Temperature 28C.

Tonight:

Most thundery showers will slowly die away overnight. Low cloud and mist will return during the evening and night time. Remaining humid for many southern parts with light winds. Minimum Temperature 13C.

Monday:

Very warm, locally hot, occasionally sunny weather will develop during the morning, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Sometimes cloudier, and cooler near some coasts where local onshore breezes develop. Maximum Temperature 27C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Sunny spells and risk of heavy thundery showers will persist through the period with variable cloud. Warm, locally very warm inland, but cooling breezes and misty conditions on coasts.

Day 6 to 15

Towards the end of next week and into the weekend, there will be a good deal of dry, fine and sunny weather across the UK. However, some mist and low cloud may affect eastern coastal districts, but also some sunny spells. There is the risk of heavy showers and thunderstorms developing, mainly across central and southern areas. Staying very warm for most, but perhaps cooler along east and northeastern coastal areas. For the rest of the period, there will probably be a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells, best of which is likely to be in the north. However, it will probably turn more changeable across the UK with rain or showers developing quite widely, with temperatures falling closer to the average during early June.

Day 16 to 30

Confidence remains low through June, however there are signs that it may become more widely changeable across the UK. This will bring more frequent spells of rain or showers. However there are likely to be drier and more settled periods for most areas too, particularly from mid June onwards. Temperatures are likely to be near or slightly above average on the whole, with the potential for some warmer spells, more probable towards the end of the period.
