Around 9.5 miles of walking beside the River Thames, so, as this walker discovered (again!), not one for days following heavy rain! The section between Sonning Bridge and Shiplake was particularly heavy-going underfoot, though the most pleasant, scenery-wise. Indeed, it was on this section that the walker saw the Serin-like finches, in a flock, eating seeds/berries; any ideas? Not Yellowhammers, surely?

No sign of George Clooney near The Bull pub at lunchtime.

A pleasant enough return to these walks, but one for drier days.

(A return train ticket to Henley seems to work for this route).

N.B. Annoyingly, some wind interference again! Back to the drawing board...
