A classic High Weald walk of around 11.5 miles; rolling hills, woods, hop fields and orchards. Lunch can be had early at the recommended pub in Silver Hill, later at Bodiam Castle (with it's picnic facilities) or at several good view points along the way.

There is a choice of routes to finish the walk; either by the River Rother or the more undulating 'standard' route, which this walker took.

A very nice walk walk which is not difficult to undertake; still some dilapidated styles though. Would be very attractive during the bluebell season methinks.

(Can anyone identify the large bird of prey on this video, as I can't; Hen Harrier? Seems a bit too black...).
