Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Early mist or fog patches on Saturday and Sunday, then dry with some sunny spells, although with some rain Sunday evening. Dry and bright on Monday but increasingly breezy.

Day 6 to 15

Monday will be dry and fine for many parts of the UK after a chilly and perhaps frosty start. However, across parts of Scotland spells of rain are expected. It will also be windy across the north with gales possible in the far north of Scotland occasionally. Thereafter, it is likely to stay generally changeable across northern areas through this period with spells of wet and windy weather interspersed with brighter and showery spells. Drier and brighter conditions are likely in the south, particularly in central and southwestern areas of England and Wales. Temperatures are expected to vary around average by day but some frostand perhaps also some patchy fog is possible overnight where skies are clear.

Day 16 to 30

Generally unsettled conditions are expected during the beginning of November, bringing spells of wet and windy weather. The heaviest rain is likely across northern and perhaps eastern parts of the UK. The best of the drier and brighter weather is likely in southwestern areas, though some rain is still expected here at times. There are tentative signs that pressure will build across northern areas towards the end of this period, bringing a greater likelihood of drier weather here and also overnight fog and frost but confidence is currently low. Changeable conditions are then more likely across the south. On the whole temperatures are likely to be below normal, but some milder spells are likely in periods of wet weather.
