Walk Directions
- [2] Diverges from SWC 246.
- [3] Come out onto a lane at Fifield and turn left along the lane. At a small green, turn right up the lane (ignoring a cul-de-sac ahead) passing by a church on the right-hand side.
- [4] At a T-junction, turn left and in 30m turn right through a metal kissing gate to follow a fenced in footpath. In 80m come out into a field to cross it, aiming for its far corner, 200 °. (If high crop maybe easier to turn right and go round the edge of the field.) At the far field corner cross over into next field to turn half left slicing the field corner. In 30m cross a stile (partially hidden by the hedgerow) to go into the adjacent field and cross it, 190 °.
- [5] Approaching Burford, 160m before reaching the A424 you pass by a small parking area on your right-hand side. Veer to the right-hand side of the hedgerow separating the road from the field to continue along the left-hand side of this field, (thus avoiding the need to walk on the the main unpavement A424 ahead). After 420m at the corner of the field, cross over a stone stile, cross the A361 and turn right along the pavement into Burford.
